Pastor

Elvis "Raz" Stephens

Pastor Elvis B. "Raz" Stephens came to this area as a soldier at Fort Lee and fell in love with Eastern Virginia and stayed here after leaving the military. He retired from the Hopewell Fire Department and was later ordained in July of 2003 and came to Crater View in July of 2005. He and his wife Velva Jo were long time members of Broadway Baptist in Hopewell, Va. They invite you to come and worship with us at Crater View Baptist.

Music Director

Mr. Mack Newman

As a young man, Mr. Mack Newman attended Tennessee Temple University. He has served as gospel soloist for KSKY radio in Dallas, TX. He has also served as music director in churches in Texas, Colorado, Maine, and Viriginia. Brother Mack and his wife Linda came to Crater View from the Messiah Baptist Church in Bangor, Maine, where he was music director.

Deacon / Treasurer

Mr. Gene Bernshausen

Mr. Gene Bernshausen is the general handyman of Crater View Baptist Church. Not only is he our deacon and treasurer, he is also our soundman, substitute usher, supply shopper, and whatever else needs to be done here at Crater View. And his gracious wife Betty helps him with anything she can here at the church.
